I love when President Eyring says that, "Someday is a thief of opportunities of time," it is sooo true. I have often felt overwhelmed in the bustle of life and wished I could slow down long enough to catch my breath. Days when I feel pulled in too many directions at once are the worst. This gentle reminder nudges me to reprioritize my busy schedule and make even 5 mins available for prayer or the reading of one scripture verse. I do know that even that much worship on any given day swells my spirit and deepens my love for the Lord.
Choose you this day whom ye will serve, but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Know Who You Are
I confess that I am a little nervous to start this blog, but here goes nothing.
Recently, I have felt an increasing need to share my testimony with others out there. This blog isn't meant to stir up controversy or become a forum for "bible bashing." Quite simply, these are my thoughts, feelings and beliefs about living as a Latter Day Saint in the world today. My hope is that my posts inspire you. To think. To question. To feel. To do. And maybe, just maybe, believe. Not necessarily in the LDS faith. But, believe in something more than yourself. Believe in an omnipotent being. Believe that life has a purpose. Believe that you matter.
For me, believing has turned into knowing. And the basic, most important principle that guides all other beliefs and actions is the knowledge that I am a Child of God. A Child of God. This simple statement is powerful and it comforts me. Why? Knowing that there is a loving Father in Heaven who created me, who knows me, who understands me, who watches over me, who has a plan for me -- why wouldn't I be comforted? Life has meaning. Purpose. The chaos of this world then makes sense. Some of you might think I'm deluding myself. To you, I challenge you to find out for yourself...do you believe that you too could be a CHILD of GOD? And what will you do if you discover you are? How will it change your life?
